#7: Birds as Decoration

I hate birds.  Real ones.  So scary.  I think I don't like beaks.  And Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" has created a deep fear of them.  But I do love birds as decorations.  I think this video says it all.

#6: Frankie Wood Roberts

Look at this beautiful boy.  I just love him to bits.  My darling friend Megan who is my comedic soulmate had Frankie back in November and I think he is the most handsome little man in the world.  You can say it...awwwwwwwwwwwwww.

#5: Sesame Street

At the age of 24, I still love Sesame Street.  I love it for a lot of reasons.  Not only was it superbly entertaining, but for years it has taught children so much more than ABC's and 123's (in English and in Spanish).  It teaches fairly obvious manners, morals, etc. that many parents fail to teacher their children (not mine of course...I had fabulous parenting).  It's sad, though, that many children miss out on Sesame Street because they are too busy playing video games or watching some other kids show that only teaches you what you're going to learn in school anyway.

I watched Sesame Street videos for about an hour trying to pick out one perfect one for this blog.  One that epitomized my love of Sesame Street.  I can't pick one.  There's so many amazing ones.  So here's one for the cold weather.

Here I am...

As with all my previous blogs, I have failed to keep this updated.  But that is okay.  Unlike the past blogs I have had, I'll keep this one and log in from time to time.  Maybe after months as the case may be today, but I will keep this one.  It's important to have some sort of snapshot of the point in my life when I have felt the most pain.

To update, I'm still working on happiness.  No day is perfect, but I am working on it.

More updates on everything to come.  I feel like writing and writing helps.

#4: Avocado/Guacamole

There are few foods which I can say that I love.  Love is something that should be given to people or pets.  Certainly not food.  But the avocado is a rare exception.

I didn't have my first avocado until I was probably 20 when some guacamole got onto one of my quesadilla.  Nothing is quite like an avocado.  It's like eating freshness.  It's like a shower for the mouth.  Few flavors can compare.  Where was this amazing fruit when I was a child is what I'd like to know.

#3: The U.K.

That's right.  The U.K.  One thing I have missed crazily over the past year is my semi-annual trip to the U.K. considering my love affair with a Brit (the other kind) had ended.  I haven't been in over a year now and it totally sucks.  Why?  What do I love about England?  Everything.

The music.

The accents.

The public transport.

The fun lingo.

The history.

Football.

Everything.  Literally.

That's why I applied for an internship over there for next summer (cross your fingers).  My goal is to move there because it's the place I love.  If I could only get a job over there I'd be all set.

Okay, I lied.  The only thing I dislike about the UK is everything is hella expensive in comparison to America, however, they don't live as much in excess as we do, and that is right in line with my view on how we should be.

And so my quest begins...

#2: Tegan and Sara

As you may or may not know, I have the best taste in music.  Obviously.  So who tops my list of musicians that I love?  Tegan and Sara of course.  And the best part is I will be seeing them on Friday.  Of course, I'll also be seeing Paramore who I also love, but I love love Tegan and Sara.  Why?  Because they are truly unique and make my heart happy.  And they are super adorable and super funny.  You should love them because I do.
